Could not recommend these guys highly enough. We were on a tight Christmas deadline with other works so they were under pressure to complete the job.The guys were on site when they said they would. Explained the process and answer all our questions. They took our base boards off so we could reuse them, they also gave us a contact to remove the duct work for ease of putting the new stumps in.We had indoor pets and when required access were careful with our pets.We now have doors that close and very minimal cracking.Thank you very much to Lee, Damian and the crew.Have a great year next year.

Our clubroom has had a wall which had dropped, leaving a 5 cm gap between the ceiling and the wall. Lee inspected under our large hall very thoroughly when he quoted, and gave sound advice. In comparison to the other company who quoted, who told us we didn't understand how buildings are built, and said they could do some work on the stumps but it wouldn't fix the problem.Lee chocked up the relevant stumps and the walls were raised leaving no gap at all with the ceiling. He also fixed some bouncing floorboards and overall did a fantastic, quick & efficient job. His quote was also the cheapest. We would absolutely recommend DJ Baker & Son for this work.

Had some cracked concrete stumps that needed replacing. Lee came over to quote and was thorough with his inspection. We had asked multiple companies to quote and many had to be encouraged to actually get under the house and look. With Lee, one of the stumps was very awkward to get to and that wasn’t even discussed as a problem. Very happy with his professionalism and quality of workmanship. His pricing was very competitive as well. If you don’t have time to get quotes, I recommend just going with DJ Baker and Son.

DJ baker and sons came out to look at our stumps after we had some concerns. They came out the next day. Got under the house and were completely transparent in telling us everything was fine and there is no need for worry. They didn’t charge us for a cent for the inspection. We had increasingly large cracks in an internal hallway wall and eventually door-frames sagging, doors not closing etc. We anticipated a big repair job but Ben and Cody spent three hours lifting the floor and repacking 6 existing concrete stumps in one row, while navigating around heating ducts and with limited space. Afterwards the cracks had completely closed up, the doors all fitted as new and we only have a few small paint touch-ups to make the house as-new.. We recently employed DJ Baker to restump our 1940's brick home in Glen Iris. They were very professional and we are super happy with the results. I called DJ Baker and asked them to provide a quote to jack and pack our house. I spoke with Leigh who told me that they only deal with houses that have timber stumps. Clearly, based on the photos on the website and the fact that three years ago you had come out and quoted for the same job this was a lie. I wouldn't trust them now to work on anyone's house.
